Don and Tiffany's Engagement Session

Once again I am blessed to be able to work with such kind and fun couples. Don and Tiffany will be getting wed in only a few weeks and I really look forward to shooting their wedding. From talking with Tiffany on the phone and by email I knew she would bring lots of life, smiles and silliness to the shoot. It was so great to see Don's face light up in the presence of his sweet heart. We started about an hour and a half before sunset at a wonderful park and then headed to a store front area near the beach for some night time stuff. After a number of hours we were all hungry and Tiffany and Don were so very gracious to offer a delicious home cooked meal. We relaxed, ate and talked about the wedding before calling it a wrap! It was a really nice time! Here are just a handful of the 150 keepers.

Yes, I know it's a bit cheesy, but it was fun and why not be a little silly at times anyway!

Joel and Rhonda's Engagement Session - Malibu, California

I have been scoping out the Malibu coastline for some time now. Fortunately, Joel and Rhonda were more than willing to take up my suggestion that we utilize this location for their engagement session. Blue skies, a cool ocean breeze and a very photogenic, fun loving and adventurous couple - made for a great shoot. I was accompanied by the superb photographer: Jerry Giles of JerryGilesPhotography.com We are friends and even he could not resist coming along for the great photo opp. We started on the sprawling green lawns of Pepperdine University, then utilizing a nearby field which sits above the coastline. With another hour before sunset we headed north, down the coast to Zuma Beach. By this time it had become extremely nippy to say the least, but Joel and Rhonda were willing to tough it out - utilizing the opportunity. I think it was a decision that they will be glad they made for years to come. I wish I could share all of the photographs from the shoot but here is just a few of my favs. Joel and Rhonda - thanks for the great time!

Pete and Vanessa's Child Portrait Session

Last year I had the great privilege of photographing Pete and Vanessa's wedding at the Rio Seco Vineyard in Paso Robles. They had chosen to go with my Platinum Package which includes a complementary child portrait session. I was excited to find out that Vanessa had given birth recently to baby Colt - and they were interested in taking advantage of the portrait session. We met up in Los Angeles and it was so great to see this couple again and to see their new bunddle of joy. Pete and Vanessa are a real pleasure to be around and I am so happy to see the start of their family but also their love for each other continuing on.

Steven and Julie - Candlewood Country Club - Whittier, California

It was great to work with Steven and Julie. Both were so very kind and gracious and very easy to work with. It didn't hurt that both are extremely photogenic. It was a beautiful day, lots of fun and a great privilege to be able to photograph their wedding.

Normally I only have the time to post just a few photographs from each event. Fortunately this week I have a few extra days and was happy to be able to post quite a few of my favorites.

KIVA - A Practicle Solution To World Poverty

Yes, it's photography blog, but I'd also like to share with any of you who visit my blog - a little of my personal side and things that are meaningful and dear to my heart. The poor, the hurting, the oppressed, the sick - all of these are dear to my heart. Now don't get me wrong - I don't do near as much as I should or even close. But it starts with one act of kindness and compassion at a time and so putting the following opportunity out there for you - is just as much a means to motivate and get myself going in the right direction to take steps to help others as it is to hopefully encourage others to do so.

Imagine YOU are born into poverty. You are a hard worker, with a great vision to start a business - but you have little to no money. If only someone would loan you just a small amount of money - it would be life changing. Enough to help your little struggling business get off the ground. Even just $25-50 Even this small amount of money could help a person in a poor country take his or her business to a whole new level. Now imagine thousands, hundreds of thousands - even millions of people each making a small sacrifice such as this for poor people all over the world. Not only would millions of people be lifted out of poverty, but these business owners would then logically be hiring others to work for them potentially pulling many individuals out of poverty - just because of your little loan. It's an awesome opportunity to help others, not by just giving them a hand out, but enabling them to create sustenance and/or wealth for themselves.

The Birth of the ProImage Weddings Blog

For years I have focused my attention strictly on my website...and with one wedding after the next - it's been plenty to keep me busy. However, recently I have finally found the time to work on my years overdue blog. I look forward to this years' growing number of scheduled events and the opportunity to post a few of my favs after each one...time permitting.
